Blues Medicine has been playing their special blend of "rockin' blues" in clubs across Toronto since 2004, delighting audiences with their energetic sound and wide-ranging repertoire. From Chicago and Texas blues to West Coast and Jump blues, Blues Medicine serves up electrifying renditions of classic favourites as well as lesser known gems. Whether playing the songs of Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters, Ray Charles, the Red Devils or Jimi Hendrix, the common ingredient in Blues Medicine is always the intensity of performance.

With a total of nearly 100 years of musical experience among them, the members of Blues Medicine have histories in jazz, reggae, classic rock, R&B, and, of course, the blues. Guitarist and vocalist Paul Steinway has been playing music in Montreal and Toronto since the 1970's. He has an extensive range of experience, having worked with the Rick Weston Band, Imperial Force, Derek Martin, and Alma Faye Brooks among many others. Harpman and vocalist Jean Baillargeon began busking at St. Lawrence Market in the mid 90's, and then graduated to local Toronto clubs where he continues to deliver his own soulful brand of blues. Bassist Doug Snow is a veteran of the Toronto rock and blues scene, and has toured with many bands in Canada and the northern U.S.. Drummer Rexx Taylor is the newest addition to the band.
